We believe the church is a divine institution built by God. It is composed of baptized believers who are united together to observe the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper, exercise spiritual discipline, grow in grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and carry out the Great Commission, Psalm 127:1; Matt. 16:18; John 12:32; Acts 2:47; Mark 16:15; 2 Pet.
…that a sound knowledge of biblical doctrine is essential for mature, stable, & fruitful Christian living, Eph. 4:13. We do not claim to be perfect in our own views. We believe always in learning and growing, 2 Pet. 3:18, so that we are not blown about by every wind of doctrine. Our aim is a humble and firm grasp of the truth we have seen in the Scriptures, with a readiness to learn more to the glory of God.
…in God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and His redemptive work in man’s salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
…there is a distinction between local church membership and membership in the body of Christ, 1 Cor. 12:13.
. . in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ for salvation.
…and teach that salvation should precede membership in the local church, Acts 2:37-38, 47.
…in water baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion of Believers) are two ordinances that are to be observed throughout the church age, Matt. 3:16-17: 28:19-20; Acts 8:36-39; Luke 22:14-20; 1 Cor. 11:23-24.
…that DoveChristianMinistries’ teachings are designed to accomplish four biblically-based goals:
Exaltation (Worship) of God, 1 Cor. 10:31.
Edification of the body of Christ, Rom. 15:1-2
Evangelization of sinners, Mark 16:15-16.
Education of believers for work in the ministry, Eph. 4:11-12.
Affirmation of Our Faith
The Old and New Testament Scriptures to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings; the complete revelation of God’s will for Salvation of man and the Divine and final authority for Christians in matters of faith and life. 2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God,
There is only one True and living God,
Jesus Christ was both human and Divine. The Holy Spirit is a Divine Person, not just an influence.
Salvation of sinners is wholly of grace through faith in Jesus Christ and that Jesus Christ is the only way to God.
